It is the policy of J.T. Pharmacy Technician Training Program not to discriminate on the basis of disability, race, gender or religion.

Any person who believes she or he has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of disability, race, gender, or religion may file a grievance under this procedure. It is against the law for J.T. Pharmacy Technician Training Program to retaliate against anyone who files a grievance or cooperates in the investigation of a grievance.

Policy Rationale:

To establish a process for a fair, rational, and efficient resolution of disputes between Instructors and Students, and/or Company and Employees.

Applies to:

To all students and Employees of J.T. Pharmacy Technician Training Program

Informal Resolution:

Students and employees are encouraged to bring any discrimination issues to the owner/operator (Sharonda R. Trimiew, CPhT) as soon as possible and discuss the concern. Owner/Operator should meet with the student and/or employee in a timely manner in order to resolve the issue. If the student and/or employee is not satisfied with the process, he/she may access the formal grievance procedure. (See Below)

Grievance Procedure

Any person who believes she or he has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of disability, race, sex or religion may file a grievance under this procedure.

Procedure:

  • Grievances must be submitted to the HR Dept. within thirty days of the date the person filing the grievance becomes aware of the alleged discriminatory action.

  • A complaint must be in writing, containing the name and address of the person filing it. The complaint must state the problem or action alleged to be discriminatory and the remedy or relief sought.

  • The HR Dept. (or her/his designee) shall conduct an investigation of the complaint. This investigation may be informal, but it must be thorough, affording all interested persons an opportunity to submit evidence relevant to the complaint. The HR Dept. will maintain the files and records of J.T. Pharmacy Technician Training Program relating to such grievances.

  • The HR Dept. will issue a written decision on the grievance no later than 30 days after its filing.
